A new service at Latidos Productions: We will arrange classes for you with professional dancers in Havana or a Casa Particular (staying with a Cuban family). This service is for those who want to travel without hiring Chen Lizra as their tour guide.

Cost: $200+ GST for setting up the classes in Havana with some of the best professional dancers in the country.
Cost: $200 + GST for setting up a Casa Particular in Havana in either Vedado or Centro with a high standard. Check out the blog to see an example of the quality of the Casa.
If you choose to purchase both services, we will only charge you a total of $320 + GST.

Terms: Because of the nature of the service, the fees are non-refundable. So be sure to book when you are sure you will travel. The Casa has to be paid in full at the time of booking and is non refundable, so be certain that you are ready to travel before you book it. For classes, you will be able to keep the contact of the instructors and contact them directly. If you would like us to set up the classes again for future trips, the same fee will be charged. The details of the instructors cannot be passed and they will not accept students who are referred through other students. The fee is for one person or a couple. For group fees please contact us in order to get a quote.
Latidos Productions is organizing a unique trip to Cuba - 10 lucky people will get to travel with Chen Lizra one on one, for an adventure of a life time!

The trip is planned for July 13-27, 2009 (which includes the 26th of July - big holiday with lots of celebrations all over the country).

In July 2008 Chen Lizra took one of her students on a two week trip to Cuba. Read all about their adventures and get a sense of how it all works!


How does it work?

Only ten people will get to go with Chen Lizra on a personal tour to Cuba. They will each pay $1000(+gst) for their private tour guide ($200 non refundable). In exchange, Chen Lizra will travel with the lucky ten and show them life in Cuba from the inside, organize music/ dance classes for those who are interested, recommend hotels or organize a stay with a Cuban family in some of the best private homes, go out with them to the best shows in the city - Folklore and Salsa. Basically this is "The Best of Havana with your best friend kind of a trip!" Oh yes, and on weekends people will get to see places such as Trinidad and Vinales. Trinidad has one of the best music scenes in the country. Since the PMT is for the tour guide only, people can join from anywhere and for how ever long they want out of the two weeks. The trip allows for the most flexibility in tailoring it to what you would want it to be while going away with ten other awesome people who all have the same passion! This is an intimate tour which will get you inside the beating heart of the music and dance scene of Havana and the life of Cubans, beyond what you would see on your own.

Chen has been to Cuba many times. She trains on a regular basis in Havana with some of the best dancers in the country and has the right kind of network to get you what you need. She also toured in other places and knows her way around. Chen has personal friends who will welcome you into their lives and help with what ever you need. Chen has the right network for setting you up with the best homes in Cuba and dance or music classes with professionals. On top of that she speaks the language and can help translate and deal with what ever comes up. And most importantly, Chen knows the culture and knows how to move inside it - get to the best and avoid the bad. She will teach you how Cubans think so that in the future you will be able to easily come back on your own and have the network of people who will welcome you back...

Suggested schedule:

Every morning - time for those wanting to take private lessons in music or dance with some of the best professionals in the country. Then everyone will meet for lunch. A short siesta in the pace of Cuba and in the afternoon - tour the city together, meet people, learn how the culture works and how Cubans think. Then dinner and going out at night to see shows. On weekends - travel outside the city and get a sense for some of the most magical places in Cuba. Since things are very unpredictable in Cuba, the tour is left open so that we can flow with what ever happens each day and bring you the best of Havana for night time. This tour is for people that enjoy this kind of flexibility.

Refund will be issued based on these terms:
  1. 61– 90 days before departure date - 20 % of remaining costs
  2. 31 - 60 days before the departure date – 50% of remaining costs
  3. 0 - 30 days before the departure date – 100% of remaining costs

Our 4th ALF took place March 9th, 2007 at Mona's Lebanese Cuisine. The event was a fundraising event for the Women's East Side Downtown Shelter - www.dewc.ca . 10% of the proceedings went to help women in need.

Our new event launched on Nov 10th, 2005 - an "Arab Latin Fiesta". The night was a huge success with about 300 people attending it. We have since organized a few of these amazing events and hope to keep bringing to you this kind of magic.This exciting event, features a beautiful cultural mix of the sensual world of belly dancing and the Middle East with the seductive and sexy Latin world. The night offers things such as palm reading, a henna artist, shisha/hookas to smoke and great two shows in one night- one Latin, one Belly dancing.

We play light Reggaeton, Bachata, Merengue, a bit of Salsa, Arabic and Persian music with a bit of African flavor.
